The infamous champagne pop photos
The classic graduation photo or the celebratory engagement moment, the champagne pop photos are a classic. But the logistics can be hard.
From trying to open the champagne to trying to not get sprayed to getting the perfect champagne spray, there are a lot of moving parts happening all at once. But once you get the hang of all these things, the photos will turn out perfect every time.
#1: Try using a twist off top bottle
This is one of my number one hacks for the champagne pop photos. People can often be intimidated by the cork bottles of champagne but the twist off tops are a lot more user friendly. By using a twist off top, you are able to control the bottle a bit more and make sure the champagne doesn't get shaken too early.
#2: Don't shake the bottle before hand
Shaking the bottle before hand will just cause so much chaos. By opening the bottle first, then placing your thumb over the opening of the bottle and then shaking it, you are able to go when you and the photographer are ready. You are also able to control there the champagne is going and avoid spraying it all over you or your photographer.
#3: Have fun with it
There are so many times where the senior or couple look so scared in their champagne photos but these are supposed to be fun! Make sure you are smiling and having a fun time while taking these photos (trust me it isn't as scary as it seems).
