What is in my camera bag?

I have spent quite a few years collecting and curating my camera gear to fit all of the types of photography I do. From telephoto lenses for sports to my mirrorless camera to get the best photos in low light, I have got a bit of it all.

Canon R6

My main camera baby is the Canon R6. I have had it for about 2 years now and it has been one of my favorite purchases. My first full frame camera was a 5D Mark iii and going from a DSLR to a mirrorless camera was a game changer for me. I was able to have a faster shutter, good low light capabilities for basketball and indoor photos, and have quiet shutter.

Portrait Lenses

My main portrait lens is the Canon EF 24-70mm 2.8. I use this with my Canon EF to RF adapter and have never had a problem with it. I love the ability to have one lens that does it all. While I love the low aperture on a prime lens, I have found that for what I use it for, it isn't that big of a deal breaker for me.

Sports Lenses

My two main sports lenses are the Canon EF 70-200 2.8 and the Canon EF 300 4. Both of these lenses are in my camera bag for every sport event I am at. My 70-200 is perfect for closes up on the court or as a wide lens for football when I am in the end zone. The 300 is my main lens for football and I use it as a secondary lens for basketball if I want to go to the other side of the court and photograph across the court or if I want to go up into the stand to get a different perspective.

All the random little things

I keep lots of random things in my bag just in case. I normally try and keep at least 1-2 extra batteries for a normal shoot. For weddings, I try to have 3-4 extras. I also keep all of my sd card in my sd card case so that I can keep everything together and organized. One of my top things at the moment is my iPhone hot shoe mount. The reason it is amazing is cause it is a MagSafe one so I can just pop my phone on and off. Besides that, there are all kinds of random things from headphones to gum to my media credentials and everything in-between.
